Action Alert: Mass Senior Care Encourages Members to Contact Legislators

State budget deliberations are intensifying, and Mass Senior Care is encouraging members to contact their State Representatives and State Senators to urge them to make nursing facility care a top priority in FY 2021. Lawmakers are currently meeting with House Ways and Means Chairman Aaron Michlewitz and Senate Ways and Means Chairman Michael Rodrigues to discuss and submit their FY 2021 budget priorities.

Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) informed the DPH MA MOLST Advisory Subcommittee that they received the Subcommittee’s recommendation to adopt the National POLST form and process for use in Massachusetts, and as a result, is in process of developing a multi-year plan to move from MA MOLST to National POLST.
