Program Description
Now that facilities are almost 6 months into the PDPM payment system, there are new strategies and best practices that are becoming evident every day. Join Celtic Consulting, national PDPM educators, for a full day program which will include a refresher of the PDPM payment system, and updates regarding diagnosis coding, skilled documentation, restorative nursing impact, respiratory nursing impact, and timing of interviews for cognition and depression.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this seminar, participants will:
•Identify 3 factors that impact revenue prior to admission.
•Review how the use of an interdisciplinary approach can improve revenue.
•Understand the common misconceptions of the PDPM system and its methodologies.
•Assess facility strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.

Maureen McCarthy, RN, BS, RAC-MT, QCP-MT, DNS-MT, OASIS Master Trainer is the President of Celtic Consulting, LLC and the CEO and founder of Care Transitions, LLP, a post discharge care management services provider. Celtic Consulting is a Mass Senior Care Associate Member.

5.5 CEUs will be awarded for nurses and nursing home administrators. The Massachusetts Senior Care Association has qualified for “deemed status #NH-09015-007” from the Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators. This program also meets continuing education requirements for Nurses in Massachusetts. All paid registrants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Mass Senior Care must be notified in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the seminar for a credit of equal amount to be issued to your Mass Senior Care account.
