  • Meet A Nursing Home Hero: David Gachanja
March 11, 2021

Meet David Gachanja, one of the 50,000 dedicated caregivers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic protecting vulnerable nursing home residents. David is a Certified Nursing Assistant at Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Worcester and has been a CNA for over 20 years.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, David graciously offered his home to other staff and CNAs who did want to return home in fear of spreading COVID-19 to their own family members. David provides vital care and companionship to nursing home residents who cannot be cared for at home. David’s generosity, compassion and dedication to his residents are just a few reasons why he is a frontline hero.

Each week, Mass Senior Care will be highlighting one of our frontline hero who has shown tremendous dedication and compassion to their residents and peers during the COVID-19 pandemic. To share your caregiving story or to highlight a staff member, please contact Jennifer Chen at JChen@maseniorcare.org.
