With sustained reliance on TNS we are providing an important reminder to members of the need to obtain and maintain current Certificates of Workers’ Compensation Insurance from TNS agencies prior to utilizing TNS employees. It is important for facilities to be aware that if the staffing agency has a lapse in coverage or if the coverage has been terminated, then your facility could be responsible for a claim when a temporary worker has been injured on the job. As always, it should be common practice to require all independent contractors or consultants such as physical therapists, hairdressers, pharmacists, dentists, dieticians, painters, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other service providers, to produce a Certificate of Workers’ Compensation and Certificates of Liability Insurance prior to commencing work.
