Signature Healthcare announced that Brockton Hospital will begin re-opening its inpatient care services on Tuesday, August 13th, 18 months after a catastrophic electrical fire closed operations. At the outset, Brockton Hospital will bring on line 100 inpatient beds, with a plan to reach full capacity of 216 over time as it brings back on line its behavioral, maternity and pediatric units. Brockton Hospital’s reopening could help ease the capacity issues impacting the region’s hospitals.
