Nursing facilities will need to create logins to access the new PASRR portal which will launch on August 28th. The DMH PASRR office issued an email to nursing facilities in regard to the process for facilities to create logins to access the portal based on each individual’s work email. Each facility or agency must enter all PASRR portal users and designate at least one staff member to act as the PASRR Portal Security Administrator. The security administrator is the person within your facility who will be responsible for approval of PASRR users accounts and deactivation of user accounts that are no longer needed. Individuals in your organization who would need access to the PASRR portal are those staff who are responsible for completing PASRR Level I screenings, typically Discharge Planners or Case Managers. If your facility did not receive this email or if you have any questions about the email, please contact DMHPASRR@umassmed.edu.
The new PASRR Portal that allows for the online submission of all PASRR Level I forms (both positive and negative), submission of any required documentation relating to Level I and Level II PASRR, and the ability to view, track, and update PASRR information as required. Health care organizations including nursing facilities, will be required to complete and submit PASRR Level 1 screenings using the online Portal as paper submissions and documentation will no longer be accepted.
For facilities that were unable to attend the July 2023 PASRR training webinars or would like to review the MassHealth materials presented, the recorded presentation can be found here: PASRR Webinar Training July 2023. A copy of the presentation is available here.
