The DPH through the Infection Prevention and Control Resource Hub will host office hours dedicated to addressing antimicrobial stewardship challenges on July 26, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
Shira Doron, MD, Gabriela Andujar Vazquez, MD and Maureen Campion, PharmD of the Tufts Medical Center Antibiotic Stewardship Center of Excellence will be available to answer questions on appropriateness of therapy, duration of therapy, optimizing therapy and overall need to treat positive cultures for patient specific and general case during this exclusive office hours session for long-term care facilities.
Epidemiologists from DPH will also be available to discuss any concerns around infection control and reporting monthly antibiotic start data to DPH.
