On January 16, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) announced revisions to its proposed updates to Appendix PP of the CMS State Operations Manual, originally released on November 18, 2024. The revised Appendix PP regulations include changes to Admission, Transfer & Discharge, Chemical Restraints/Unnecessary Psychotropic Medication, Resident Assessment, Quality of Life and Quality of Care, Administration, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI), Infection Prevention and Control, Nurse Staffing and other areas including clarifications and technical corrections. The effective date of these revisions is April 28, 2025.
Join Mass Senior Care and Zimmet Health for a webinar to review the key changes and updated guidance to the regulations as well as action items to prepare for these upcoming changes. This webinar will review recent revisions to the regulations and the interpretive guidance in Appendix PP. Through this session, learners will be provided action items and tips to prepare for April 28, 2025.

This “Back to Basics: Infection Control 101” workshop series will provide an overview of essential infection control practices, including hand hygiene, appropriate PPE use, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning.
