Seminar Description:

The #1 most frequently cited deficiency on annual surveys in Massachusetts is F880 Infection Control with 43.8% of nursing facilities cited in 2024.  This “Back to Basics: Infection Control 101” workshop series will provide an overview of essential infection control practices, including hand hygiene, appropriate PPE use, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning. Each session focuses on practical strategies, real-world applications, and expert guidance to improve compliance and strengthen infection prevention efforts in nursing facilities.

Objective:

•To equip front-line staff with fundamental infection prevention knowledge and skills to reduce the spread of infections, improve patient safety, and maintain survey readiness.

 

Presenters:

Maryanne Caruso, RN, CPHQ, CIC, Director of Infection Prevention and Clinical Education, Maryanne is board certified in health care quality management and infection prevention & control.

The Massachusetts Senior Care Association has qualified for “deemed status #NH-09015-007” from the Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators for Administrators. This program also meets continuing education requirements for Nurses in Massachusetts.

All paid attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. 

 

Cancellation Policy

Mass Senior Care must be notified in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the seminar for a refund, minus a $25 processing fee, which will be refunded in the manner in which the payment was made. “No Show” attendees will be billed at the full registration fee.
