  • Please Attend: Virtual Summit on Nursing Home Naloxone Policy and Procedures
October 6, 2023

MassHealth has reached out to Mass Senior Care to encourage all nursing facilities to participate in the upcoming virtual summit discussing the IPRO QIN-QIO’s Nursing Home Naloxone Policy and Procedure Toolkit, hosted by Abt Associates and their partner, Healthcentric Advisors.

This webinar will provide an overview of the policies and procedures that nursing homes can implement and how they can tailor them to meet the needs of individual facilities to promote preparedness and assure access to this lifesaving drug. This webinar will be presented by Robert C. Accetta, RPh, BCGP, FASCP, a senior pharmacist in IPRO’s Healthcare Quality Improvement department, who advises facilities and associations on quality assurance and improvement. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), representing the Northeast Region. He regularly contributes to the LTC pharmacy column in the Caring for the Ages and The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (AMDA) journals.

The summit will be on Thursday, October 12th, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Staff from Massachusetts long-term care facilities who attend will be eligible to receive a $25 gift card for their participation. Please bring any questions you may have, as there will be time for interactive discussion and Q&A.

To register for the summit, follow this link: Meeting Registration - Zoom, and complete the registration form by October 10th to secure your spot. If you have any questions or concerns about the summit, please do not hesitate to contact us at MOUD2@abtassoc.com.
