Earlier this week, Governor-elect Maura Healey announced her first three senior staff Cabinet appoints to fill out her Administration.
University of Massachusetts finance administrator Matthew Gorzkowicz will serve as secretary of the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, the state’s top budget official. Gorzkowicz previously served as the Senate’s budget director and he also served as assistant secretary for budget in Governor Patrick’s Administration.
First Assistant Attorney General Kate Cook will serve as chief of staff. Cook also served as chief legal counsel to former Governor Patrick, general counsel to the state Senate Ways and Means Committee, and as an attorney for the City of Boston.
Healey also appointed Gabrielle Viator, chief deputy attorney general, as her senior advisor.
Governor-elect Healey will continue to fill her Cabinet positions over the next month.
