  • Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) releases World Alzheimer Report 2022
October 7, 2022

Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) has released its World Alzheimer Report 2022. “ADI hopes this substantial and comprehensive report will contribute to overcoming some of the apprehensions surrounding post-diagnosis dementia support and help identify some of the barriers to overcome – but also some opportunities that provide direction and hope.”

Among its recommendations, ADI calls for:

  1. National dementia plans to become a policy priority.
  2. Care to be person-centered, culturally appropriate, and gender inclusive and underpinned by robust care plans.
  3. Care to be coordinated and accessible, supported by a trained navigator or link workers.
  4. Education to be improved and expanded.
  5. Stigma to be further challenged.
