This week Mass Senior Care Association (MSCA) graduated 39 nursing leaders from our Director of Nursing Leadership Development Program. The 7- session course targeted individuals who had been in the DNS position for 3 years or less, individuals in other nursing leadership roles such as Assistant Directors, and individuals preparing to become a DNS. Topics ranged from coaching communication skills, human resources management, regulatory compliance and survey readiness to budget management. A variety of speakers shared their subject matter expertise, including representatives from the Department of Public Health. Feedback from participants is overwhelmingly positive, citing the hybrid in person/virtual approach, the thoughtful selection of topics, and the opportunity to network with other nurse leaders as key components to the success of the program. Congratulations to all of our participants!
