What Employers Need to Know

Tuesday February 25, 2025

11:30 am – 12:30 pm

VIRTUAL

Seminar Description:

The Frances Perkins Workplace Equity Act was signed into law in 2024 and has a phased implementation starting in February 2025. The law aims to promote wage equity and transparency and imposes new requirements relating to both pay disclosure and pay data reporting on businesses in Massachusetts. As this legislation takes effect, it is important for employers to understand these new requirements and the steps they must take to avoid potential legal pitfalls. Join Mark Reagan, Partner, and Zevit Reid, Director of Administration & Human Resources at Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, as they use real job announcements and recruitment materials to demonstrate compliance with this law.

Objectives:

  1. Explain how the Workplace Equity Act impacts nursing facility employers.
  2. Identify criteria that must be transparently included in job postings and related materials
  3. Explain reporting requirements under the new law.
