On September 10, 2025 CMS released a revised memo which includes a revised timeline for incorporating the updated long-stay antipsychotic measure on Care Compare to the January 2026 update. The original memo indicated this change would occur with the October 29, 2025 Care Compare update. As a reminder, the updated measure for long-stay antipsychotics will include Medicare and Medicaid claims data and Medicare Advantage encounter data to supplement the MDS data.
