important update

The CDC has released the 2025-2026 influenza vaccine recommendations. The recommendations include routine annual influenza vaccination for all persons aged ≥6 months without a contraindication to vaccination to protect against influenza and its complications. Timing and selection of vaccine are outlined in Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) summary of recommendations. Guidance for the COVID-19 vaccine/booster and RSV vaccine are expected after the next ACIP meeting on September 18th and 19th. As a reminder, the FDA has approved the COVID-19 vaccine for those ≥65 and adults with high-risk conditions.
