executive office of aging and independence

Governor Healey introduced an updated five-year plan to make Massachusetts more age- and dementia-friendly. Called ReiMAgine Aging 2030: The Massachusetts Plan, the plan looks at the needs of the state’s aging population and the challenges they face. It also outlines steps that state agencies, communities, organizations, and businesses can take to support older adults. In addition, an Executive Order requires all state offices to find ways to include age-friendly practices in their work. It also creates a Governor’s Advisory Group to gather input on key issues like transportation, housing, planning, economic security, and retirement—aiming to improve the lives of older adults across the state. If you’d like to support the ReiMAgine Aging 2030: The Massachusetts Plan or share your thoughts, please contact Aging.Conversation@mass.gov.
