Join Mass Senior Care and infection control experts from Capsid Consulting for a one-hour webinar: The Dos and Don’ts of Enhanced Barrier Precautions: Understanding the New CMS Guidance. Program Summary:

In July 2022, the CDC released updated EBP recommendations for “Implementation of PPE use in nursing homes to prevent spread of MDROs” with CMS now following suit and updating its infection prevention and control requirements and guidance. This webinar will assist long term care providers in understanding and complying with the new CMS requirements for EBPs in their facilities.

Presenters: 

Dost Sarpel, MD, Chief Operating Officer and Medical Director, Capsid Consulting. Dr. Sarpel is an Infectious Disease consultant with Milford Regional Physicians Group and sees patients at Milford Regional Medical Center.

Maryanne Caruso, RN, CPHQ, CIC, Director of Infection Prevention and Clinical Education, Capsid Consulting. Maryanne is board certified in health care quality management and infection prevention & control.

Who should attend: 

DNS, Infection Prevention & Control staff, Unit Managers, Nursing Staff

CEU: 1.0

Nursing Home Administrator and Registered Nurse continuing education credits will be provided.
