  • Action Alert: House Budget Debate Begins Next Week: Please Ask Your State Representative to Co-Sponsor and Support Amendment #371
April 19, 2024
action

The House of Representatives will begin debating on the FY 2024 budget next week and we need your immediate help in urging your State Representative to support and co-sponsor Amendment #371 filed by Elder Affairs Committee Chairman Thomas Stanley. Amendment #371 would increase funding for nursing home care to allow the hiring of additional staff, increase wages for our existing staff, and fund care for our more medically complex patients.

As of this morning, only 35 out of 160 State Representatives are co-sponsoring this important amendment. If you do not see your state representative’s name listed below, please send an email now and ask your colleagues, residents, and family members to join this critical effort to support quality nursing facility care.
