Last week at its annual Convention & Expo, the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) elected AHCA's Board of Governors and NCAL's Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 term. Phil Scalo of Bartley Healthcare in New Jersey was elected as AHCA Chair, and Mark Maxfield of The Cottages, LLC in Idaho was elected as NCAL Chair. “We are thrilled to have Phil and Mark as the chairs of our Boards,” said AHCA/NCAL President and CEO Mark Parkinson. “Their dedication to our sector and expertise will undoubtedly guide our organization to new heights in the coming year. We appreciate their leadership as we fight for common-sense policies and explore new opportunities to help the long term care community thrive.”
Norman Rokeach, President & Founder of Marquis Health, who operates skilled nursing facilities in Massachusetts and six other states, was re-elected to the AHCA Board of Governors. Tara Gregorio, President of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association, was re-elected to the NCAL’s Board of Directors as an ASHCAE Representative.
