July 7, 2022

The Boston Medical Center Training and Technical Assistance (BMC TTA) is offering DATA waiver trainings in July. This eight-hour course prepares physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to prescribe buprenorphine to treat opioid use disorder. This training is recommended for all prescribers whether they currently prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder or not. Physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners will receive eight credits/contact hours for participating in the training. Although training is no longer mandated for those prescribing buprenorphine to fewer than 30 patients, DPH considers it as a best practice and strongly recommends participation. The training will help you to better understand opioid use disorder and evidence-based treatment, and to improve the care that you provide to residents with opioid use disorder.
