Take Action Now to Support Mass Senior Care's Nursing Facility Recovery and Sustainability Proposal
Mass Senior Care is asking every member to please join us in urging state legislators to support nursing facility residents, their families and caregivers by funding Massachusetts Senior Care Association’s Nursing Facility Recovery and Sustainability Proposal.
Massachusetts Senior Care Association’s Nursing Facility Recovery and Sustainability Proposal calls for an investment of $559 million which would allow nursing facilities to maintain wage increases for our direct care workforce, hire additional staff and purchase necessary PPE through $98 million in surplus FY2021 funds; and allocate $461 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to enable the Commonwealth and nursing facilities over the next several years to make vital investments in three fundamental areas including workforce, quality resident care and experience and modernizing the infrastructure of nursing facilities.
