We are looking for an experienced Staff Development Coordinator - Registered Nurse RN to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility.

Staff Development Coordinator - Registered Nurse RN Job Summary:
Plans, implements, directs, and evaluates the education program based on resident and staff needs, regulations.
Coordinates an effective general orientation program for new staff and plan other programs as needed.
Plans and publishes a monthly in-service calendar for all mandatory in-service staff trainings.
Arranges opportunities for meaningful education programs and staff trainings during the year.
Oversees preceptors of new hires.
Provides regular continuing education programs for nurses.
Conducts an annual competency skills evaluation of nurses in preparation for their performance evaluation.
Acts as the liaison between the nursing instructors and students affiliating at the facility.
Maintains a resource center with current geriatric literature, videos, and DVD’s.
Ensures all documentation of attendance at in-service programs is maintained and submitted to HR.
Compiles necessary reports for DPH and other regulatory agencies as required.
Ensures any student instructors are over-seeing their students during any resident contact and care.
Staff Development Coordinator - Registered Nurse RN Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Prior experience as a supervisor/manager in long term care.
Expertise in DPH regulation, along with excellent communication skills.
Current CPR certification.
