Nursing facilities are facing unprecedented workforce and financial crises which have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mass Senior Care Association’s Board of Director’s voted in February 2020 to support the Nursing Home Ballot Initiative which would allow voters to create a permanent and critical law requiring the state to adequately fund and support nursing home care.
We are requesting that you take the simple steps outlined below to help us generate the 14,000 signatures necessary to ensure voters have the chance to support nursing homes on the November 2020 ballot.
- Print the signature sheet (click here, note that the sheet will print double sided) and make available for your staff and residents to sign. Please note that only one city/town can be listed on each sheet.
- Send an electronic communication to your community (nursing facility staff, resident family members, local civic organizations, your family members, friends, etc) to ask that they sign the Nursing Home Ballot Initiative via docusign
