It is widely predicted by public health authorities that despite all of our collective mitigation efforts, the number of COVID-19 cases among nursing home residents and frontline caregivers will surge along with the statewide surge. Our number one priority is to provide you with the support and resources necessary to keep our facility staff safe and our residents well cared for.
Mass Senior Care Association continues to aggressively advocate for the needs of our long term care residents, staff and providers. Today we released a public statement outlining our efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and emphasized the need for enhanced testing, the critical need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), filling vacant positions and the need for immediate financial relief. In addition, Edelyne Bontemps, a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Elizabeth Seton Residence Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Wellesley, shared her thoughts about caring for her residents during this pandemic, click here to read Edelyne’s story.
Thank you for the personal sacrifices and heroic efforts all of you are taking to care for our most vulnerable residents. We are all in this together and Mass Senior Care Association will continue to be your strongest advocate as we navigate through this pandemic.
