  • Governor Baker Proposes DPH Nursing Home Licensure Changes in FY 2020 Supplemental Budget
February 20, 2020

Governor Baker has filed an FY 2020 Supplemental Appropriation Budget bill (H.4354) which includes outside sections which would amend and expand the Department of Public Health’s long term care facility licensure and suitability regulations.  The proposed sections, Section 18 through Section 20, would increase the scope of the suitability review process and amend the definition of cause for the Department to limit, suspend or revoke a license.  Mass Senior Care is in the process of reviewing the bill and plans to submit comments to the Legislature in regard to these proposed enabling statute changes.
