  • Last Chance to Register - Legionnaires’ Disease: What’s New, What’s True and What to Do - Webinar
October 24, 2019

Please join Mass Senior Care, NALCO Water, An Ecolab Company and the Department of Public Health on October 31, 2019 at 1:00 pm for a webinar on Legionnaires’ Disease: What’s New, What’s True and What to Do. Legionnaires’ disease is a serious, potentially deadly form of bacterial pneumonia. This webinar will focus on the public health risk of Legionnaires’ disease (LD), approaches to preventing outbreaks, and the CMS water management plan requirements. Participants will learn how the Legionella bacteria enter a long term care facility and grow in its plumbing systems. The session will cover the seven steps that administrators, nurses, and engineering staff need to include in a water management program and be in compliance with CMS QSO-17-30. In addition, the Department of Public Health will discuss the procedure for reporting a case of legionella and what happens once a report is filed. This webinar is complimentary and for Mass Senior Care Members Only. Click here to register.
