The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) has released an advisory on Recommendations for Tuberculosis Screening, Testing, and Treatment of U.S. Health Care Personnel. The advisory is also available on the DPH website at www.mass.gov/tuberculosis. The recommendations included in this advisory are consistent with the national recommendations from the CDC and the National Tuberculosis Controllers Association. The major update included in the advisory is that the routine practice of annual testing of health care personnel (HCP) is no longer recommended.
