Supporting employee growth and advancement through the full continuum of nursing career ladder opportunities is a vital workforce development strategy aimed at reducing stubborn nurse vacancy rates, improving recruitment and retention, and bolstering quality of care. The UMass Lowell Solomont School of Nursing has launched an exciting new program that makes it possible for Registered Nurses (RNs) to obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS) fully on line in as little as one year. The program is affordable, allows for transfer of up to 90 college credits, with 39 credits automatically awarded for one’s current RN license and has multiple start dates for each of the 8-week on-line courses. MSCA encourages interested RNs in member facilities to consider applying for a Mass Senior Care Foundation scholarship to assist with tuition. Please view the program brochure for more information.
