Best Practices to Ensure a Successful MMQ to PDPM Conversion

Program Description:
October 1st is rapidly approaching, and the transition from MMQ to MDS and PDPM is significant for Massachusetts providers. The nursing PDPM grouper utilizes a combination of the resident’s functional abilities, acuity, and comorbidities to calculate a case-mix group which will be used to set the Medicaid payment for MassHealth beneficiaries. Facilities will need to review their internal processes to ensure documentation requirements are met while considering reimbursement impact. This webinar will review the documentation requirements as well as best practices to ensure maximum reimbursement and compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Discussion will include the new Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and existing MA labor laws protecting pregnant employees, as well as other applications of accommodations.

Annual Life Safety Code Workshop – Virtual

Program Description:
Join Mass Senior Care in our annual life safety workshop. This year’s annual program will focus on expectations regarding the inspection, testing and maintenance of required systems such as sprinklers, fire panels, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, doors, etc. The program will include discussion on the concerns and challenges related to lithium-ion batteries used in nursing facility equipment and devices and best practices for use, storage, and maintenance. In addition, the Department of Public Health will review the top life safety code deficiencies and CMS’ current focus.
