  • MassHealth Trading Partner Testing (TPT) for transition to MDS 3.0: Enroll by June 27th
June 15, 2023

MassHealth will be hosting Trading Partner Testing (TPT) beginning in mid-August 2023 to support the transition to MDS 3.0 for payment purposes effective October 1, 2023, for nursing facilities. This process will allow providers to test HIPPA transactions 837I (Institutional claims), 270/271 (eligibility/benefit inquiry and response) and Direct Data Entry (DDE) for eligibility and claims in a test environment. We are strongly encouraging members to participate in this voluntary testing to ensure a smooth transition. MassHealth is requesting that facilities please confirm their interest and submit the information listed in this MassHealth memo for trading partner testing via email to support@masshealthltss.com no later than Tuesday June 27th.  Please note that this will be the only opportunity to request participation in official trading partner testing with MassHealth.

Mass Senior Care and our partners continue to work actively with MassHealth and is committed to ensuring a successful transition for our members. We encourage members to join us for Mass Senior Care’s second webinar on July 12th, from 11am to 1pm in regard to the transition: Operationalizing Massachusetts MMQ transition to Medicaid PDPM Case Mix.
