  • MassHealth Releases Request for Responses for Next Community Partners Program Cycle
July 21, 2022

On July 18, 2022, MassHealth released a Request for Responses (RFR) for the next cycle of its Behavioral Health (BH) and Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Community Partners program.

Beginning in 2018, MassHealth restructured its health care delivery system to an accountable care model that focuses on quality of care, health outcomes and total costs of care. A key strategy in achieving these goals has been better integrating physical health, behavioral health, long-term services and supports, and health-related social needs for members with complex needs. Community Partners have been important to this effort, coordinating care for some of MassHealth’s highest-risk members and helping to improve overall outcomes.

Through this new procurement of Community Partners, MassHealth will carry forward the most important and successful principles of the program while reshaping aspects of the program to further support member needs. This includes simplifying the program design, streamlining contracts and payment relationships with ACOs and MCOs, and further standardizing care coordination expectations and outcomes.

MassHealth encourages all interested parties to submit a response. Further information is available in the RFR and associated documents on COMMBUYS, including a list of key dates and upcoming Bidders Conference to learn more about this opportunity. Questions about the procurement should be submitted in accordance with instructions included in the RFR to Amy Butcher at amy.butcher@mass.gov.
