MassHealth today sent out a notice that the agency will be conducting its quarterly Nursing Facility Occupancy Survey for the October 1st census date. All licensed nursing facilities in the Commonwealth are required to complete the survey, including those that do not have MassHealth or Medicare residents. Starting with this October survey, MassHealth will also be collecting information on the number of admissions and discharges by payer category for the reporting quarter.
On Wednesday, October 1st, your facility’s designated contact person for the survey will receive an email invitation from UMass Chan Medical School originating from a “forhealth.umassmed.edu” address. If you are the contact person for more than one nursing facility, you will receive separate emails with a unique survey link for each facility.
