  • Mass Senior Care Strengthens Workforce Development Efforts with Addition of Susan Misiorski
July 7, 2022

We are pleased to announce that Susan Misiorski has joined Mass Senior Care Association as the Vice President of Workforce Development.  “Susan brings with her the ability to implement new strategies in the context of today’s unique senior living operations challenges,” said Tara M. Gregorio, President of Mass Senior Care.  “We are delighted to have her join the MSCA team to enhance our existing workforce offerings, particularly with regard to staff recruitment and retention and leadership development.”

Susan began her career as a nursing assistant in CT, and after graduating from UCONN School of Nursing, became a registered nurse filling a variety of leadership roles including DON, and VP of Nursing for Apple Health Care (now Apple Rehab), a multi-site New England skilled nursing corporation.  At Apple, Susan led multiple initiatives to improve recruitment and retention, and went on to become VP of Workforce Innovations at PHI.  In that role, Susan spent 20 years leading grant funded and fee for service initiatives resulting in demonstrated improvements in quality of jobs and quality of care across long term care settings nationally.  Most recently, Susan re-entered daily operations as Regional Director of Operations for SageLife, where she spearheaded the opening of a new senior living community in Hudson, Massachusetts during the height of the pandemic.
