  • Mass Senior Care Members Prepare For COVID-19 Vaccine
December 17, 2020

To assist members with talking to long term care staff, residents, and family members about the importance of getting a COVID-19 vaccine, Mass Senior Care has created a new campaign “Arming Ourselves Against COVID-19”. The campaign’s dedicated webpage at www.maseniorcare.org/covid-vaccine has resources related to the COVID-19 vaccine including links to information about vaccine allocation, safety and efficacy, as well as tools to prepare your vaccination clinics.

Mass Senior Care’s “Arming Ourselves Against COVID-19” member toolkit includes:

  • Posters for Mass Senior Care Members

Ready-made posters your facility can post to inform long term care staff and residents about the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • FAQs for Nursing Facility Staff, Residents, and Family Members

Larissa Lucas, MD answers some frequently asked questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Template Letter to Long Term Care Staff (Word Document)

This letter to long term care staff makes a strong recommendation for vaccination. Please feel free to adapt this to your specific needs.

All of these materials will be translated into Spanish, Haitian Creole, Mandarin and Portuguese and will be available to download from at www.maseniorcare.org/covid-vaccine as soon as they are available.

In addition, through the weekly ECHO sessions as part of the National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network, Mass Senior Care and Hebrew SeniorLife has provided updates and shared trusted resources about the COVID-19 vaccination with over 300 participating facilities.
