House Approves Nursing Home Surveillance Testing Amendment
The Massachusetts House of Representatives yesterday engrossed a FY 2020 supplemental budget that included an amendment sponsored by Chairman Tom Golden, Jr. (D-Lowell) that would establish a state-funded, adaptive nursing facility surveillance testing program in the Commonwealth. Thank you to Mass Senior Care members who participated in our legislative action alert. More than 400 emails were sent to state representatives, which resulted in 67 House co-sponsors. Mass Senior Care extends its thanks to the House of Representatives for this action. The budget now goes to the Senate for further consideration.
