Governor Healey and Massachusetts Attorney General Campbell Issue Guidance to Employers on Immigration and Work Authorization
August 14, 2025

Governor Maura Healey and Attorney General Andrea Campbell have issued important guidance for employers on immigration and work authorization, outlining employer rights for hiring and retaining an immigrant workforce. The guidance addresses verifying and reverifying work authorization, I-9 audits, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and CHNV or CBP-1 App Parolees, and includes key dates, court rulings, pending litigation, and steps to prevent discrimination based on national origin. Mass Senior Care appreciates Governor Healey and Attorney General Campbell for providing this timely information amid the uncertainty created by rapidly changing federal immigration rules, and we remain committed to supporting state officials and our members in navigating these complex requirements. Please read the guidance here.
