  • EOHHS Responds to MSCA Urgent Request for Assistance: Outlines Steps to Date to Support Nursing Facilities
April 16, 2020

Yesterday, EOHHS Secretary Marylou Sudders responded in a letter to MSCA’s urgent request for assistance, outlining the steps the Administration has taken to date to support nursing homes during the COVID-19 public health emergency.  While we acknowledge and are grateful for Governor Baker and Secretary Sudders’ continued support for nursing home residents, their families and caregivers, we continue to believe that the unprecedented crisis warrants an unprecedented response, one which requires significant additional investments for our frontline staff, including a doubling of wages.  Please click here to read Mass Senior Care’s statement issued regarding the Administration's plans for staffing nursing homes and funding wages.
