Enhanced Barrier Precautions (EBP) are a new infection prevention and control recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to protect residents from multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs).
The CDC has resources available to assist with the implementation of Enhanced Barrier Precautions, including a recorded webinar from last fall, Continuing Education Webinar: Implementation and Use of Enhanced Barrier Precautions in Nursing Homes. The video recording provides valuable information about the use of EBP for MDROs. You can use the slides to follow along or share with your staff.
