  • Emergency Preparedness Regulations included as Part of Life Safety Code Surveys
December 14, 2017

The Life Safety Code Unit of the Department of Public Health's Bureau of Healthcare Quality and Safety has been assigned the responsibility and has begun surveying long-term care facilities on the Emergency Preparedness regulations during a facility’s routine life safety code survey. However, any surveyor (during an annual re-certification survey or complaint survey) could cite a facility on the Emergency Preparedness regulations if during the course of the survey an issue and/or concern arises.
