  • December Action Alert: Your Advocacy Is Needed Now! Standing Strong for Nursing Facility Residents and Caregivers
December 24, 2025
Action Alert

Massachusetts’ 348 nursing facilities provide a core state service to more than 100,000 older adults and individuals with disabilities who can no longer be cared for safely at home. For these residents and their families, nursing facilities provide vital, 24-hour care with dignity, compassion and safety.

As the Governor and Legislature are actively working on this year’s state budget, we urge you to please contact Governor Healey in support of funding for quality nursing facility resident care and the dedicated staff who make this care possible.

Over the past few years, the Commonwealth and provider community have worked together to improve access to quality nursing facility care and strengthen the workforce that cares for our most vulnerable residents. We are grateful for this important progress and must build on these investments in this year’s state budget to ensure nursing homes have the resources they need to continue providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Please call Governor Healey today at 617-725-4005 to urge her support for these vital investments in nursing facility care – and in the residents and caregivers who depend on them.
