Mass Senior Care extends its congratulations to Governor-Elect Maura Healey and Lt. Governor-Elect Kim Driscoll on their historic victory in Tuesday’s gubernatorial election. As the state’s largest long term care provider organization, we look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with Governor-Elect Healey and her Administration to provide quality care for our frail elders and individuals with disabilities who can no longer live safely in the community. Skilled nursing facilities face significant challenges including an historic workforce shortage and funding gaps that will require modernizing the Medicaid payment system to ensure that facilities have the necessary resources to provide high quality resident care.
