CALL TO ACTION

Join Mass Senior Care in Testifying in Opposition to EOHHS Proposed Temporary Nursing Services (TNS) Agency Rates Regulation

VIRTUAL HEARING on FRIDAY, JANUARY 24th at 10:00 AM

Background

EOHHS has scheduled a public hearing next Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM on the Temporary Nursing Services (TNS) rates, effective March 1, 2025 rate regulation, which was last amended on October 1, 2021. The proposed TNS rates would increase the TNS charges by 8% for licensed nursing and 17% for certified nurse aides. Mass Senior Care opposes the regulation and believes that the methodology for setting the rates is invalid and would require MassHealth to implement and immediate $255 million rate increase to cover the costs of the new TNS rates and a corresponding 10% wage increase to retain our employed staff.

Call to Action

We encourage all members to join us in testifying at the virtual hearing or to submit comments. It is important for EOHHS to hear directly from nursing facilities on the potential impact of the proposal will have on access to quality nursing facility care. Members may sign up to testify during the virtual hearing. The Zoom link for accessing the hearing is posted here. You can get involved in several ways, please consider taking the following actions:
