The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) has announced the 2026 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipients. Mass Senior Care is proud to recognize 5 member facilities that have earned this achievement. “The Silver Quality Award represents a significant milestone on the journey toward excellence,” said Tara Gregorio, President & CEO of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association. “We are proud to recognize these 5 member facilities for their continuous improvement and dedication to providing quality resident care. Their commitment serves as an inspiration to others, and we look forward to honoring them at our Annual Meeting in November.”
The Silver National Quality Award is the second of three levels in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, a comprehensive organizational assessment and recognition program for long term care providers. Each application is reviewed and judged against a set of nationally recognized standards for achieving excellence. The award honors skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities across the nation that have demonstrated how they systematically improve performance and achieve positive outcomes through effective approaches and processes.
The following 5 Massachusetts skilled nursing facilities earned the Silver-Achievement in Quality Award for 2026:
- Holden Rehabilitation & Nursing Center (SNF), Holden
- Life Care Center of Leominster (SNF), Leominster
- Life Care Center of West Bridgewater (SNF), West Bridgewater
- Lutheran Rehab. & Skilled Care Center (SNF), Worcester
- The Highlands, A Life Care Center (SNF), Fitchburg
The 2026 National Quality Award Recipients will be recognized during Delivering Solutions 26, the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, which will be held on October 11-14 in Boston, MA, as well as at MSCA’s 2026 Annual Meeting, which will be held in November.
