Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accountability for financial stability including preparation of annual budget; review of monthly financial statements, departmental budget reports, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc. Responsible for controlling costs and assisting in preparation of Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.
• Help Directors to set and achieve goals within their departments in order to achieve a common goal of providing the very best care and services available to our residents.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations through familiarity with all such regulations as they are written and interpreted.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures through annual update and distribution of procedure book to staff.
• Maintain appropriate staff levels, recruit individuals from the Deaf community, and provide ASL training for all staff.
• Be proactive in strategic management in meetings with the Board, and help them plan agendas and develop educational materials when appropriate.
• Responsible for approving all expenditures.
• Serve as chief liaison with community organizations, politicians, and key constituent groups. Remain informed about upcoming regulations, changes that will affect NEHD,
