We are seeking to fill the position of Director of Social Services.
**Salary Range is $60K to $80K**

Director of Social Services Introduction:
The Director of Social Services is responsible for overall knowledge of Social Service staff performance and residents’ activities. Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the social service programs of the facility including problem solving and crisis intervention.
Director of Social Services Job Summary:
Assist in development of department policies and procedures, reviewing them annually making recommended changes.
Provide all necessary casework services.
Participate in Discharge planning, development and implementation of social care plans and resident assessments.
Supervise all staff, including students and potential LICSW’s.
Assist in preparing an annual operating budget for approval by Administrator.
Set up peer review and participate.
Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, and make recommendations on changes in policies to the Administrator.
Maintain resource file.
Work as Member of pre-survey preparation team.
Participate in family meetings as needed.
Complete necessary forms, reports, presentations, proposals and submit to Administrator.
Director of Social Services Qualifications:
Massachusetts LICSW license
Experience in a supervisory capacity is desirable, preferably in a health care setting.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, support agencies and the general public and to be discreet regarding privileged information.
