Casa De Ramana is looking for MDS/MMQ Coordinator to join our Team.
SUMMARY
The MDS/MMQ Coordinator is directly responsible for coordination and completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the Management Minutes Questionnaire (MMQ) processes of the center. The MDS/MMQ Coordinator also ensures the coordination of appropriate and optimal clinical reimbursement by applying advanced nursing clinical skills, analyzing data, educating team members, and coordinating the exchange of resident information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
-Must be a licensed nurse. Registered nurse (RN) is preferred.
-Minimum MDS experience of at least two years
-Experience with and knowledge of the Patient Driven Payment -Model (PDPM) is required
-Resident Assessment Coordinator certification (RAC-CT) is preferred
-MMQ experience is preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Promote the capturing of appropriate clinical reimbursement for services provided while ensuring the highest level of revenue integrity.
-Be highly involved in determining skilled level of care for Medicare and/or Medicare Advantage payer residents and procuring required Medicare-specific documentation; be responsible for physician certification of a skilled level of care throughout the Medicare stay; be involved in making eligibility determinations and obtaining stay authorizations as needed.
-Work closely with physicians to obtain accurate and complete documentation to support ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding
-Audit and improve staff education/competency as needed to ensure accurate and timely completion of supporting clinical documentation.
