PDPM and the Medicaid Experience
Thursday, January 23, 2025
12 noon –1pm
VIRTUAL
Seminar Description:
Massachusetts Medicaid rate setting transitioned from MMQ to PDPM over a year ago. Changes in assessment management have led to an expected statewide increase in CMI. However, results vary widely across providers. Zimmet Healthcare’s CMI-Connect tracking software indicates that many providers are appropriately realizing gains, while others see little progress. These differences likely stem from reimbursement management processes, not resident acuity, leading to uneven distribution of Medicaid funds for facilities caring for the same resident profile.
This session will focus on strategies to compliantly improve CMI accuracy by identifying and documenting changes in resident acuity. Using data from CMI-Connect, which covers nearly half of Massachusetts facilities, speakers will provide practical guidance on optimizing clinical and compliance workflows.
Attendees will learn how to leverage technology to streamline operations, ensure accurate reimbursement, and improve outcomes. The session will include peer-group benchmarks and actionable steps for success under PDPM, equipping participants with tools to enhance their facility’s performance.
Participants attending this webinar will:
•Identify strategies to ensure accurate CMI reimbursement
•Understand how to leverage technology to streamline operations
•Recognize the differences between reimbursement management processes and how you can improve your facility’sprocess to improve clinical outcomes
