Seminar Description:
Effective 10/1/23, MassHealth will shift to a Minimum Data Set (MDS 3.0) based Medicaid reimbursement system. Minutes Questionnaire (MMQ) will finally be eliminated! The Medicaid reimbursement system will be based on a Medicaid Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) system and utilize the Minimum Data Set (MDS 3.0) assessment as the acuity measurement tool to determine payment for MassHealth members.

Objectives:

• Operationalize Systems to ensure accurate and appropriate reimbursement.

• Develop systems to ensure compliant Medicaid Billing

• Preparing for and understanding the audit process

• Identify strategies for improving Facility Specific Adjustments to the base rate

• Understand the key points of the Member Specific Medicaid Rate Add-Ons
