MassHealth Appeals from A to Z
June 20, 2019
Mass Senior Care Office, Waltham
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
(Registration begins at 8:30 am)
Program Description:
The MassHealth application process is fraught with avoidable pitfalls, which can lead to the improper denial of benefits. The issuance of a denial notice doesn’t have to mean that MassHealth benefits are lost forever. This half-day seminar is tailored to guide Administrators, Executive Directors, and Business Office Staff through the MassHealth appeals process, from the moment benefits are denied through the Fair Hearing. Attorneys from Burgeon Legal Group, Ltd. Co. will provide practical tips to navigate the MassHealth appeal process and maximize the likelihood of success. Drawing from their experiences, the attorneys will highlight important considerations, arguments, and strategies to challenge the denial of MassHealth benefits, including real-life examples of successful appeals. The attorneys will also address appeals beyond the administrative level and alternative options to optimize recovery.

At the conclusion of this seminar, participants will:
